Ride the Edge is a party loving rock and pop covers band from Bristol.
We play contemporary and classic rock and pop with a lil' bit of funk, soul and reggae. In fact, all sorts of tunes to get you up and dancing. You can book us for your party, wedding, pub music night or any other happy occasion.

We are five semi-pro musicians who all live in the Bristol area. We are a proper band who play because we love it.
 
So we bring to your event not only good music but the feelgood factor that only comes from good friends who are obviously enjoying playing music together, and seeing everyone having a great time.
 
We're relaxed and friendly people who will do whatever is necessary to help make your event a great success.

We play at a variety of events including weddings, parties, festivals, and at venues from function suites to muddy fields! We'll travel up to about 30 miles from Bristol, or further if you're happy to pay travel expenses.

We play a big variety of music from current party floor fillers through can't help dancing funk classics to old-time rock'n'roll.
 
We will play requests as long as it suits our line-up, particularly if it's your favourite song for a first dance at a wedding. But we need advanced warning to learn new songs - we won't "busk it" on the night.

 how long do we play for?

A typical evening includes two 60 minute sets with a break in between.
 
During the break, and before we start, we'll play recorded music, either a playlist that we'll provide or you can let us have your phone with your own favourite music on it.

how much do we cost?

That depends... on the type of event and venue, how long we play for and a few other factors. Give us some information and we'll quote you a firm price, no extras.  And it won't be as expensive as you might think.









 what do we need?

We need enough space to accommodate a five-piece band - about 4 metres by 3 metres minimum. It doesn't need to be a stage, it can be more intimate if we're on the same level as the audience.
 
We need access to at least one standard 13 amp power socket.
 
We need about an hour to set up and sound check before the event. This need not be immediately before, we can often accommodate arriving earlier in the day so we're all ready well before the event starts.
 
It takes us about half an hour to pack up at the end.
 
It's very handy if we can park our van right outside an entrance.









 what equipment will we bring?

We bring all our own equipment including party lights and a sophisticated PA system that fills the room with hi-fi quality sound without making conversation impossible. We use electronic drums, so we can even turn down the drummer if he's too loud!
 
All our equipment is PAT tested and we have full public liability insurance.
 
Our own PA system will comfortably handle a room with 250 people and we have access to much larger systems if required.
